Trina (Tabyana Ali) may be focused on her music career—and her little brother for now—but soon, in the near future, she will be focused on the “who her stalker is” story on General Hospital. And we can’t wait to find out who it is—what about you?
In late July, the stalker storyline kicked off, and here’s what we know so far, along with who the top suspects are.
Some seem almost too obvious.
Others? Well, this is a soap.
Key Takeaways
- Trina’s stalker has been collecting and altering photos of her.
- Simon Craft has a possible motive involving Trina’s music career.
- Quinn has a suspicious history with Trina.
- Spencer Cassadine remains a wild-card possibility.
- The obvious suspects could be a deliberate misdirect.
How Trina’s Stalker Story Started
Trina has had a love for the arts for a while. Music? That came out later. The love for the latter was something pushed by her connection to Brook Lynn… and to Gio, both of whom are now doing the music life together.
Performing at the recording studio in July, Trina and Gio caught the eye of music executive Simon Craft, thanks to Brook Lynn. Guided by Brook Lynn, the duo signed a joint record deal, setting the stage for what should have been a dream career move.
However, it was soon clear that Simon had ulterior motives. He began plotting to manipulate Trina’s public image. And it was also clear he wanted to eliminate her actual boyfriend, Kai Taylor, from the picture to fabricate a fake romance between Trina and Gio for publicity.
That’s when the show dropped a chilling reveal: a hidden bulletin board covered entirely in photos of Trina.
Whoever the stalker is, they are actively editing her life. In photos where Trina was originally posing or kissing Kai—or her late love Spencer Cassadine—the stalker has meticulously cut both men entirely out of the picture. Whoever is watching her clearly has a massive problem with any man getting close to her.
Now let’s move on to the suspects.
Suspect #1: Simon Craft
Simon Craft sits right at the top of the suspect list. He’s been ridiculously pushy about removing Kai from Trina’s public image from day one. On top of that, he’s been seen making secret phone calls about Trina.
During Trina and Gio’s recent performance at the Cat’s Eye Lounge, Simon conveniently vanished right as another photo was added to that creepy bulletin board.
Suspect #2: Quinn
Then there’s Quinn. He might be Kai’s friend, but his history with Trina is far from clean. Quinn previously showed plenty of jealousy and hostility toward Trina before turning around with a sudden, suspicious apology.
His return… and apology… happened in the same episode we saw the mysterious stalker making their moves. And just about every time we see the stalker… we see Quinn.
Of course, because this is daytime TV, Simon and Quinn might just be red herrings meant to throw fans off the scent.
Then again, sometimes the show actually goes with the most obvious.
Suspect #3: Spencer Cassadine
Then there’s the theory fans are desperately clinging to: Spencer Cassadine.
Viewers frequently theorize that Trina’s presumed-dead first love could be behind this as part of a classic soap opera return twist. Spencer was presumed dead after falling off a boat, but his body was never recovered. In the world of daytime drama, no body almost always means a grand return from the “dead” down the line. Could a traumatized or amnesiac Spencer be watching Trina from afar?
Who do you think is standing behind that creepy photo board—Simon, Quinn, a living Spencer Cassadine, or someone else? Drop your best theories in the comments below!
