For many years, the ABC daytime lineup featured four fabulous soaps: One Life to Live, General Hospital, All My Children, and Port Charles. But, as time went by, the network pulled the plug on the shows one by one—except for GH, the lone survivor!

Since the cancellations, General Hospital has often given nods to the now-defunct soaps with references to the fictional towns of Llanview and Pine Valley and even fictional characters like Erica Kane.

Today, on the March 17 episode, Valentin visited his old digs to retrieve his precious belongings, including a passport sporting his new moniker, Will Cortlandt. Ironically, James Patrick Stuart, who has a long list of credits on his acting resume, played Will Cortlandt on All My Children from 1989–92 and then again in 1994, while Lonnie Quinn had his turn back in ’88–89. There was also a fake passport for Charlotte; her new moniker was Melanie Cortlandt, another All My Children character. Meanie was Will’s sister. She was played by Paige Turco from 1988 to 1991.

Unfortunately, Will met a tragic end in 1994, courtesy of Janet Green! So, what do you think of this cheeky nod to All My Children?
