There’s no denying that Anthony Geary is missed on daytime television, especially now that his onscreen daughter Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) is finally awake from a 4-year coma. Meanwhile, Geary has been living it up in Amsterdam since his retirement—but there’s something many may not have known about him—he can sing!

Fans were recently treated to a throwback of an old recording of Geary singing “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” thanks to Claudio Gama’s Instagram post. He captioned it, “I’m putting everything back in the shelves I found an old recording of Tony I did not know about…”

The iconic tune, crafted by lyricist Kim Gannon and composer Walter Kent, was originally recorded by Bing Crosby in 1943 and has since become a holiday classic.

Anthony Geary is best known for originating the role of Luke Spencer on the beloved ABC soap General Hospital, which he started playing back in 1978. For his work, he racked up a record eight Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series! Additionally, he played George Curtis on The Young and the Restless.

GH fans may also remember his character Luke Spencer peforming “I Am What I Am” (a jam made famous by George Hearn, Gloria Gaynor, and the fabulous Broadway musical “La Cage Aux Folles”) at the 2014 Nurses Ball! If not, check out the video embedded below—it’s a must-see! (Photo: ABC)
