Eric Forrester has long been the patriarch of the Forrester family on The Bold and the Beautiful. He’s usually the one with the calm voice and wise advice. But lately, fans are starting to wonder if he’s lost the plot a little. Is he crossing the line from being a caring father to becoming way too invested in Ridge’s love life?
TBH. Eric has always had a soft spot for Brooke. He was married to her. She’s the mother of two of his kids. And let’s not forget, even Eric’s current wife, Donna (who happens to be Brooke’s sister), recently said every man is in love with Brooke — even her own husband. So yeah, the man has history.
Now here’s the situation: Ridge is engaged to Taylor Hayes. They’ve shared decades of complicated, emotional, messy, but real love. And yet Eric seems laser-focused on reuniting Ridge with Brooke, like that’s the only happy ending that counts. He’s pushing so hard, you’d think he was trying to win a prize.
Let’s call it what it is — Eric might be doing too much.
Eric Pushes for Brooke and Ridge
His love for Brooke isn’t new. He’s always admired her strength, her charm, and her connection with Ridge. But Ridge is trying to move on. He’s building something with Taylor. He’s trying to be faithful and a man of his word. And Eric keeps swooping in like some Destiny Police, dropping hints and nudging Ridge to dump Taylor (again) and run back to Brooke (again). Nothing new here!
No one’s denying that Brooke and Ridge have history. They have a son together. But Taylor and Ridge have kids, together too. And it’s not like Ridge hasn’t broken both their hearts a dozen times already. Maybe it’s time to let him figure things out for himself — just a thought.
To some viewers, Eric’s behavior feels less like support and more like obsession. He doesn’t just root for Brooke. He champions her like it’s his personal mission. Every talk with Ridge feels like a pep rally for “Bridge” and a silent swipe at Taylor.
And speaking of Taylor, what about her feelings? Eric seems to be completely ignoring them. That’s not like him. He’s always been the guy who values fairness and respect. But lately? He’s looking a little biased, and fans are noticing.
So, what’s really going on here? Is Eric acting out of fatherly concern? Or is he letting his own past — and his not-so-subtle Brooke bias — cloud his judgment?
