According to TV Insider, it appears that General Hospital could be in the process of recasting the role of Lulu Spencer Falconeri. The show has reportedly issued a casting call for a character named “Lauren.” We know named in these casting calls are often used as a code name for the actual character being sought.

Viewers recently saw Laura (Genie Francis) visiting her comatose daughter, Lulu. The character has been off-screen since falling into a coma in late 2020, following the explosion at the Floating Rib.

Now, the show is seeking an actress for the character of “Lauren,” described as 34 to 40 years old, a blonde, white woman, beautiful, dynamic, and fiery—characteristics that would align with the character Lulu.

The actress for this role is set to start taping in mid-September, potentially appearing on the show in October or during November sweeps.

The role of Lulu was most notably played by Julie Marie Berman from 2005–2013 and Emme Rylan from 2013–2020. Could “Lauren” be the new Lulu? Let us know what you think in the comments section.

One response to “Is General Hospital Recasting Lulu?”

  1. This show doesn’t need another new character. They barely write for those already on canvas. Besides recasting old characters will not help the show if the writing sucks.
