Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) has gone MIA on Days of our Lives since his recent chat with Jada (Elia Cantu), where the two agreed to call it quits… officially! On top of that, Rafe mentioned that he got a call from his old boss to take up an FBI job offer out of town. This has left fans with one burning question: are Rafe and his portrayer, Galen Gering, leaving Days of our Lives? According to Soaps.com, the show has confirmed that the actor is not leaving the show he has called home for over 15 years.

This isn’t the first time the character or the actor has sparked exit rumors. When Rafe was shot and placed in a coma, many speculated about his departure from the show, but those rumors proved unfounded.

Is Rafe Leaving Days of our Lives?

Rafe and Jada have faced significant challenges in their relationship. His doppelganger, Arnold Feniger, returned and, with the assistance of EJ DiMea (Dan Feuerriegel), created chaos in Rafe’s life. Jada believed the imposter was her husband-to-be, who humiliated her at the altar.

To sum it up, she slept with Shawn (Brandon Beemer), Rafe found out about it, and he could not forgive her. In turn, he thought she was still sleeping with Shawn after that one time, so he slept with Sami (Alison Sweeney), and when she learned of it, she too could not forgive him. So, Jada ended their engagement and relationship.

Now, Rafe has left town, seemingly to take that job offer, but the question remains: when will he return? Only time will tell — or the weekly spoilers which we share every Friday!
