Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) is one step closer to regaining his memories…or is he?
The latest spoilers for Days of Our Lives let us know that since the coveted Dr. Rolf’s diary has reemerged, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) will go to Jack with the information that he could possibly get his memory back. Jack, of course, is immensely against anything Jennifer says or wants and will tell her that he isn’t interested. With Ashford noting in Soap Opera Digest that “If Jennifer wants it, there must be an angle…”
But there is something about his missing memories that are plaguing him. He feels like life is easier without him knowing about the past, and the fear of the unknown is scary. But it’s also a little intriguing to him.
After turning Jennifer away and realizing that he can’t let Eve (Kassie Depaiva) in on his true feelings, he goes to the next best person, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). Jack will ask Kayla if this serum could truly help him regain his memory. Kayla’s hands are tied in the situation though. The hospital will not allow for the experimental serum to be used there again, but she does want to help him. So, Kayla will point Jack in the direction of Will Horton (Chandler Massey) who had success with the serum and regaining his memories.
It looks like after Will initially refuses to help Jack based on his behavior since he came back to Salem, he will decide to use the situation to right one of Jack’s wrongdoings. Will offers Jack the diary in favor of him dropping all charges against JJ (Casey Moss) for helping Haley.
Jack will take the deal and take possession of the diary. He will feel some sense of relief with the diary in hand. Whether or not he takes the serum to regain his memory or locks the diary away for good. It will be his decision. We just hope he makes the right one.
