Jackée Harry (Paulina, Days of our Lives) celebrates her 68th birthday today!
Jacqueline Yvonne Harry was born on August 14, 1956, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to an Afro-Trinidadian mother, Flossie Harry, and an African-American father, Warren Harry.
She grew up in Harlem, New York, and got into acting at the High School of the Performing Arts in midtown Manhattan. After graduating from Long Island University with a degree in education, she taught American history at Brooklyn Technical High School for two years before hitting the New York stage. You may know her as Sandra Clark on the NBC TV show 227, where she clashed with Mary Jenkins, played by Marla Gibbs.
These days, she you can find her starring on Days of Our Lives as Paulina Price Carver, the mayor of Salem and her character is married to leading man, Abe Carver (played by James Reynolds)
