Jacob Young is paying tribute to his former on-screen aunt! Young, who played the role of Lucky Spencer on General Hospital from 2000 – 2003 shared a touching tribute to Jacklyn Zeman on his Instagram. His Emmy-winning run on the ABC daytime drama allowed him to share scenes with Zeman as his aunt Bobbie Spencer.
In his tribute, he began, “One thing that has always been hard for me is processing the idea of people that I love and have been close to in my life, will eventually sail on heavens highway and into God’s loving hands.” The actor who also played Rick Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful continued, “A lot of people have asked me, what was Jackie like? Jackie was one of the most kind, loving, and wonderful humans that I’ve been ever so lucky to call a friend and colleague. I had many dinners over the years outside of work with her and my dear friend @kinshriner, I have to say Jacklyn would light up a room or stage the moment she stepped on it or into it.” Young remembers Zeman fondly, “One thing that I personally remember is how she always would say my name … (Jacob) with such meaning accompanied with a beautiful smile and I never felt worthy of that emphasis. I loved everything about you Jackie, your laugh, your hugs, and I loved playing your nephew. I don’t know if any of you ever saw the Mad TV sketch with @willsasso , Jacklyn, @rebeccaherbst and myself. So so great! Jackie had an amazing sense of humor!! I know you’re lighting up heavens stage and keeping everyone up there in stitches!“Zeman died at the age of 70 after a short battle with cancer on May 10, 2023. See Young’s tribute below!
