Our hearts go out to James Patrick Stuart (Valentin, General Hospital), his wife Jocelyn and their family as they mourn the loss of Barbara Stilwell. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Stuart shared, “My mother-in-law, Barbara, has passed away after a painful fight with Pancreatic Cancer. She did not want a service but instead wanted us to give the Arroyo Grande Hospital Foundation for further care of others. If you are so inclined.”
On the fundraising page which raised $2,280 out of a $5,000 goal at the time of this article, it stated, “Please help us honor the memory of our Mom, Barbara Stilwelll by making a contribution to her Day of Hope fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar raised stays in our community, benefiting cancer programs and supporting services for patients and families!”
A quote from the late Barbara Stilwell was also placed on the page, “I wish they would do less rocket launches from Vandenberg and instead use the money for pancreatic cancer research!”
