One villain is down and out as James Read has made his exit from Days of our Lives as Clyde Weston, a departure confirmed by Soap Opera Digest. The site notes that the actor is out, at least for now. But as we all know, no one in soap land, or better yet, Salem land, stays dead forever—if ever dead.
In story, Clyde, who has made most of Salemites’ lives a living hell, was shot at the hands of Catharina (Susan Elena Matus), Cat’s (AnnaLynne McCord) mother, during the mission in Vancouver—just as he was about to tell Chad (Billy Flynn) details about the real Abigail.
James Read is known for playing the role of George Hazard in the North and South television miniseries and had a recurring role as Victor Bennett on the supernatural series Charmed between 2001 and 2006.
