Jane Elliot is celebrating her 75th birthday today.
Elliot was born on January 17, 1947, in New York City. She was married to Luis Rojas and has three children; Adrian Lucas Rojas Elliot, Isiah Mikail Elliot, and Annie Rose Elliot.
Elliot made her daytime debut in the short-lived ABC soap called A Flame in the Wind back in 1965. She later guest-starred in a number of television series, co-starred in films and played the lead role in the short-lived NBC series Rosetti and Ryan in 1977.
Elliot is now best known for her role as Tracy Quartermaine on General Hospital. She debuted in 1978 and became a fan favorite. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for the role in 1981. It was this same year that she landed the recurring role of Judy Trent on the prime time CBS series Knots Landing.
Elliot also played Carrie Todd on Guiding Light, Cynthia Chandler Preston Cortlandt on All My Children and Angelica Deveraux on Days of Our Lives. Ironically, her character had an affair with Wally Kurth’s character who plays her on-screen son on GH.
After many years, Elliot announced her retirement in March 2017. She returned to GH in December 2019.
