Here’s some bad news for fans of General Hospital’s Jane Elliot – the veteran actress is set to exit the ABC daytime soap opera as Tracy Quartermaine. Daytime Confidential reported that Elliot informed her GH bosses that at the end of her contract which expires this spring, she will not be re-signing.

Elliot has played Tracy on and off since 1978. Aside from her GH role, Elliot has played characters such as Linda Skerba on ‘A Flame in the Wind’, Judy Trent on ‘Knots Landing’, Anjelica Deveraux on ‘Days of Our Lives’, Carrie Todd on ‘Guiding Light’ and Cynthia Chandler on ‘All My Children’.

It seems Elliot is finally going into retirement. She’s definitely a spark we will miss on our screens, all the best Jane Elliott!
