In a hilarious tongue-in-cheek snapshot, Jason Thompson (The Young and the Restless), channeling his alter ego Billy Abbott and sporting a penciled-in mustache, declared and posted, “I’m coming for you, Victor!”

As Y&R fans know, “The Mustache” is one of Jack’s (Peter Bergman/Billy’s brother) favorite nicknames for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

The Abbotts versus the Newmans remains one of the longest family rivalries in daytime. The longstanding feud began with Victor vs. Jack, but over the years, it has spilled over into the younger generations and infiltrated and saturated every inch of Genoa City. Victor and Jack’s deep-seated loathing for one another is what a good fiction disdain is all about: business, women, family, money, and power. They have done it all to each other and then some and show no signs of slowing down.

Now the rivalry between Victor and Billy isn’t as long-standing, but it is every bit as heated, deeply rooted, and entertaining. It began when Billy (#RIPBillyMiller), the Abbott family’s rebel (ish), dared to fall in love with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), the Newman princess, and “Villy” and “Billy Boy” (Victor’s non-affectionate nickname for Billy) were born.

How dare Billy fall in love with Victor’s daughter! Victor was having none of it and did everything he could to break the two up; bringing Chelsea to town, having Victoria arrested at Villy’s wedding are two of Victor’s shenanigans that come to mind first.

Jason Thompson Wears the Mustache

Victor never tired of interfering and remained dedicated to sabotaging the couple. To be fair, Billy wasn’t the best husband. His erratic behavior,  poor decision-making, and gambling addiction (got Victoria kidnapped) caused problems in his marriage and made him an easy mark for Victor.

“Villy” has long broken up (although with their history, they most likely aren’t done, done), but Victor vs Billy is still alive and well. The two remain mortal enemies, always plotting and trying to destroy one another. Their most recent clash has been over ownership of Chancellor Enterprises.

In Billy’s latest quest to one-up Victor and retain Chancellor, he has forged an alliance with Aristotle Dumas, the yet-to-be-revealed business, savvy, and unsavory tycoon who is headed to our screens soon. Oh, goodness. “Oh, Billy Boy, what are you doing?!”

This storyline is just getting started. All we know for sure is there is trouble ahead. And so, now that “Billy” has announced (we already knew, of course) he’s coming for Victor, what will happen next?! We will stay tuned to find out.

Alright, soap fam, the “stuff” is about to hit the fan! What do you think will happen? What do you want to see happen? Sound off!
