Jensen Gering, son of Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez, Days of our Lives) is filled with excitement as he celebrates winning the Young Artist Academy Award for Best Single for his song “Instant,” which was featured in the film Wickensburg where he played Elliot Lucas.
On Instagram, Jensen wrote, “Won a Young Artist Academy Award for Best Single for my song “Instant”. Ty to everyone who voted and congrats to the other nominees. Ty to producers @anthony.j.resta and @khop27 and most of all to Richard Boddington for giving me my first lead in a film and included my song in Wickensburg. You can stream it on Amazon Prime. Ofc a big Ty to the @youngartistawds.”
The Young Artist Academy recognizes outstanding talent between the ages of 5 and 18, with separate categories for Young and Teen competitors to ensure fairness. Additionally, the academy acknowledges adult talent and alumni by presenting special merit awards to those who have made a global impact on the entertainment industry.
In recent years, new categories such as Director, Writer, Producer, Music/Video, and Influencer have been introduced for recognition. For over 40 years, the organization has celebrated numerous international artists who have successfully transitioned into adult careers and attained widespread recognition in the entertainment industry.
