At the age of 9, General Hospital’s Jophielle Love (Violet Finn) has earned her first Daytime Emmy Award nomination.
Jophielle Love has been nominated in the category of Outstanding Original Song for her composition “Shine”. As the composer and lyricist of the song, Love received the exciting news of her nomination from Executive Producer and Head Writer, Frank Valentini, while on the set.
After learning the news, Jophielle Love wrote on Instagram, “OMG! My first song “Shine” got nominated for a Daytime Emmy!!! I am so excited ! Let’s celebrate team! @derek_w_dooms_music@douglasladnier@johnshartzer and of course @generalhospitalabc !!! Thanks to Frank Valentini to have made this sweet scene for me to sing my song! I am so grateful! To the first of many I hope! ❤️🙏🏻 This is just the beginning for Shine! Stay tuned … and see you all on the carpet, June 7th! @cbstv. And a special thanks to Noah @noahinsta for the love in the studio … and to Barrett Yeretsian @ironheartrecords for the new collaboration. And how great that this could happen on General Hospital ! Jophielle Love Gets first Emmy Nomination
When the episode aired in December, Love shared, “I got to sing my first original song on General Hospital @generalhospitalabc as Violet. I was a bit nervous but excited for everyone to hear my song. It was recorded live on set … one take … no autotuning there … so be gentle! I hope you like it! It’s called “Shine” and it will be soon available for the world to enjoy!… I wrote it myself. For the music part, I got some help: my coaches and musician friends: Derek @derek_w_dooms_music , Douglas @douglasladnier , John @johnshartzer and my voice coach Juliana @julianaasloan … and our friend Noah. Thanks Frank Valentini for allowing me to sing my song on the show, it means the world and I can’t wait for the next one ! I guess at the wedding!”
