Viewers who tuned in to the December 30 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful might have noticed that the opening credits got a makeover! The new version features some flashy stills of cast new cast addition Laneya Grace (Electra Forrester), updated photos of the veterans, and some conspicuously missing faces, which turned X (formely Twitter) into the latest gossip corner. Eagle-eyed fans spotted that Matthew Atkinson, famed for playing Thomas Forrester since 2019, and Joshua Hoffman, who has been playing R.J. Forrester since 2023, were both MIA from the lineup!
While Atkinson’s status remains a mystery—he was last seen on the show in July when his character went back to Paris after returning to LA to announce his engagement to Paris Buckingham. Hoffman, on the other hand, his absence has raised questions, considering R.J. hasn’t been seen much since his ex, Luna (Lisa Yamada), murdered Tom and Hollis. Plus, R.J. wasn’t even present for the Christmas festivities—neither at the Logans nor the Forresters!
Both Hoffman and Atkinson were, however, listed in the show’s closing credits. So, while not being in the opening credits doesn’t mean we’ve necessarily seen the last of them, it does raise the ultimate question: what’s really going on? Are both actors gone from the show?
