Julie Dove has exited Days of our Lives as Connie’s reign of terror comes to an end. As we reported in our Comings & Goings section this past weekend, Dove bids farewell to the Peacock soap opera. Her final episode aired on September 23, during which Jada arrested Connie.
Dove then took to social media, where she shared a message that was pre-recorded on February 14th. In the video clip, approximately two minutes long, Dove stated, “It’s Wednesday, February 14th, and I’m wrapping my run as Connie for now. You’ve probably seen today’s episode, and I am going to Bayview. So, hopefully they’ll visit me, and maybe I can run into any other Salemites that have been sent there. And my dream, I’m putting out there, is that Connie gets to have some therapy with Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).”
Julie Dove continued, “I just wrote some ‘thank you’ notes. I got a gift from Judi Evans (Bonnie). It’s so sweet. She wrote me the sweetest note. And Armando, my amazing hair person, gave me a gluten-free cupcake, which was divine. And the set photographer, Jill, took a picture of me in the Brady Pub. So I finally got a picture in the Brady Pub, you guys, and everyone was so nice. Janet (Drucker, Co-EP DAYS) came out and said ‘thank you’ to me when my scenes wrapped. The last scene I shot with Elia. It’s funny because yesterday I shot my actual last scene that will air, but today I shot the episode before that.”
Julie Dove Exits Days of our Lives:
Of course, this experience on Days of our Lives will be one she cherishes for years to come. “I cannot tell you how great it is to have a dream and to not ever give up on it. I didn’t.” Dove notes, “I went to college to be an actor, but I didn’t start pursuing it until I was 31, and I’m 54 and doing right now exactly what I said I would do when I was 13 years old.
So, no matter what it is you want to do… it doesn’t have to be a job; it can just be a hobby, but follow your heart. I promise you, it’ll bring you joy if you just let yourself do what you really want to be and be your true self. So thanks for supporting me and for watching Days of our Lives exclusively on Peacock. These are really wonderful people, and everyone works so hard here every day. I’m just so grateful to be a small part of this history.”
