Karla Mosley is celebrating her 41st birthday today.
She was born Karla Cheatham Mosley in Westchester County, New York, on August 27, 1981, to parents Shirley and Clifton Mosley. She graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with honors and went on to study in France at the Roy Hart Vocal Institute.
At a very young age, Mosley performed in Sugar Beats, a children’s rock group created by Sherry Goffin Kondor, daughter of singer/writer, Carole King. Mosley sang such hits as “Rockin’ Robin”.
Mosley sits on the board of Covenant House, the largest privately-funded agency in the Americas providing shelter and other services to homeless, runaway, and throwaway youth. She is a celebrity ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association and is active in other charities. She organized a benefit concert by Hi-5 to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Karina.
She has one sister and on August 17, 2018, she gave birth to her first child, with boyfriend John Rogers. And, her second child in 2021.
Mosley is best known for playing Amanda Sinclair on The Young and the Restless, Maya Avant on The Bold and the Beautiful and Christina Boudreau on Guiding Light. Please join us in wishing her a happy birthday!
