Great news for General Hospital fans, Kathleen Gati is set to return as Dr. Liesl Obrecht! Last seen on-screen in December 2023 when Scott (Kin Shriner) tried to patch things up with her, Gati is officially back, as confirmed by Soap Opera Digest.
And if Friday’s episode was any indication, things are about to get very interesting.
In Friday’s episode of GH, Rocco (Finn Carr) continued to dig into the past as he was eager to learn more about Britt, the woman who gave birth to him. And who better to turn to than Britt’s own mother? To that end, he pens a letter to Liesl, hoping for some answers. This clever setup obviously paves the way for her dramatic return to the canvas.
Fans will remember Gati’s GH debut back in 2012, where she quickly became a fan favorite thanks to her unique blend of charm, mystery, and, of course, mischief.
But that’s not all, Kelly Thiebaud, who played Liesl’s daughter, Britt Westbourne, is also set to return. With the character of Britt previously killed off, Thiebaud’s return has left many with questions. Could Britt somehow still be alive? Or is Thiebaud stepping into a brand-new role? Either way, it’s no coincidence that both actresses are returning around the same time.
