Grant Aleksander is one talented actor whom daytime fans miss very much. Aleksander who is an Actor/Director is best known for his role as Phillip Spaulding on ‘Guiding Light’, a role he played on and off from 1983 – 2009. So where has Aleksander been since the cancellation of ‘GL’?
In 2015, Aleksander played Dirk Winston in the play “Mary, Mary” at the Cape May Stage Theater in New Jersey. Dirk is an aging movie star who Aleksander spoke about with Soaps in Depth highlighting, “When he takes it to an old buddy from the Navy – who is now a publisher with a young fianceé, Tiffany, and a soon-to-be ex-wife, Mary – an elaborate game of romantic cat-and-mouse ensues as the four sort out who should be with whom.”
He reunited with a number of his ‘GL’ co-stars for a project titled “Breathing Under Dirt” which is a steamy love affair based on a true story. The Lower Shore Performing Arts Company collaborated with Michael O’Leary (Rick Bauer) for the play which was done at the Ella Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center. Among those acting in the play were ‘GL’ alums such as; Cynthia Watros (Annie Dutton), Grant Aleksander and Tina Sloane (Lillian Raines)
