If you thought she was back as a clone, a doppelgänger, or a long-lost twin — you’re dead wrong (no pun intended). TV Insider has confirmed that General Hospital returnee Kelly Thiebaud is indeed reprising the role of Britt Westbourne, who made her comeback in the July 18th episode of GH when Jason spotted a woman who looked exactly like Britt at the airport.
Naturally, Jason couldn’t help but stroll down the road of nostalgia with some JaBritt-filled moments.
“I feel so lucky to have a character that I really enjoy playing. I definitely missed her,” Thiebaud says of reprising the role.
Avid viewers of the show will remember that Britt met an untimely — and pretty brutal — demise at the hands of serial killer “The Hook,” who turned out to be Heather Webber (Alley Mills). Britt died in her mother, Liesl’s (Kathleen Gati) arms and hadn’t been seen since.
Now she’s back, and she admits to TV Insider:
“As far as story goes, obviously, I want Britt and Jason to get back together.”
