Not only was Jon Lindstrom back as Dr. Kevin Collins (he has been playing Joey Armstrong on Beyond the Gates), but Ace Cassadine also made a return; this time played by new young actors! According to Star Kidz on Instagram, Kieran and Karis Barry have taken over the role.
The twin actors have previously appeared as Scout Derek Shepherd Lincoln on Grey’s Anatomy, so fans might recognize their faces. Of course, many viewers were a little stunned since the Clay brothers, Jay and Joey Clay, have been playing Ace since 2023.

“Joey and Jay’s journey into the entertainment world didn’t start with a plan, it started with a simple conversation between twin moms. One minute we were bonding over sleep deprivation, and the next she was connecting me with her agent. Before I knew it, the boys were signed with Zuri and suddenly had more professional paperwork than most adults I know.”
They continued:
“Their first big adventure was at Prospect Studios for General Hospital, where the boys played baby Ace—the great-grandson of Genie Francis’s iconic Laura. But here’s the part I’ll never forget: Joey and Jay showed up for their first episode, where I thought we were just going to be in the background.
They had their own wardrobe team, dressing room, studio nurse, and even an on-set teacher. The level of care, professionalism, and structure blew us away. Mark and I were never more than an arm’s length away—literally right there the whole time. The executive producer? The film team? We genuinely fell in love with them. Everything was seamless, respectful, and joyful.”

“Then came Jay’s big solo moment with Nike… where he casually took his first-ever steps mid-shoot. Not at home like a normal child—nope, my son debuted his walking career for a global athletic brand!”
