General Hospital fan favorite Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) recently took to Instagram to address several personal matters that have made headlines in recent months. In a lengthy post accompanied by a carousel of photos, the actress spoke about the alleged break-in she has been discussing with fans and responded to reports surrounding a restraining order filed by her ex-husband, Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny, GH; ex-Stefan/Jake, Days of Our Lives).

The actress also shared a significant update regarding her future and whether she plans to return to Los Angeles and resume work.

Storms Shares Concerns About Returning to Work

Toward the end of her statement, Storms revealed that the events of the past several months have left her questioning whether she feels comfortable returning to Los Angeles.

“Given what’s been going on, I can’t say I will feel comfortable heading back to Los Angeles and returning to work,” Storms wrote. “This has been an eye-opening experience about the downside of my profession. My daughter is my entire life; she is (and always will be) my first priority.”

Addressing the Restraining Order Reports

Storms also addressed reports concerning a restraining order that Barash reportedly filed last year.

“I’m sure some of you guys have read the stories online regarding a situation involving something my ex-husband is currently trying to claim,” she wrote.

Reports surfaced earlier this year alleging that Barash had filed an emergency restraining order, citing concerns for their daughter’s well-being. According to TMZ, court documents included claims that Storms had allegedly experienced periods of concerning behavior.

Storms Responds to Break-In Timeline Claims

According to Storms, one report incorrectly suggested that she reported the alleged apartment break-in only after legal action had been taken against her.

“Because I did see one story online stating I reported the apartment break-in AFTER he filed something against me in court, I really need to address this entire issue,” Storms explained.

She went on to state that records and evidence would show the break-in had already been reported to both her apartment building and local authorities before any court filing occurred.

Storms emphasized that her primary concern remains her safety and the fact that someone was allegedly entering her residence while she was away attending medical appointments in St. Louis.

While Storms did not provide a definitive answer regarding her future work plans, her statement made it clear that her daughter remains her top priority as she navigates these ongoing challenges.
