Laura Wright (Carly, General Hospital) is celebrating her 54th birthday today.
Wright was born Laura Alice Sisk in Washington, D.C. on September 11, 1970, and grew up in Clinton, Maryland. She rocked the high school stage in plays like Gypsy, Our Town, and You Can’t Take It with You. She even took the reins and directed a school production of Father Says No. This talented lady also dabbled in local commercials and did countless fashion shows. After high school, she went to college for a semester before joining her dad’s gas station business in Clinton.
You’ve probably seen her shine as Allison “Ally” Rescott on Loving and The City, Cassie Layne Winslow on Guiding Light, and Carly Spencer on General Hospital. She nailed a Daytime Emmy Award for her killer performance on General Hospital back in 2011. She has been dating her former General Hospital co-star, Wes Ramsey, since 2017.
