Laura Wright (Carly Spencer, General Hospital) just dropped some big news. Her family is growing after her real-life son, John Michael Wright (also known as LJ), asked his girlfriend Emily to marry him—and she said YES!
Laura Wright Celebrates Her Son’s Engagement
Taking to Instagram to show off the newly engaged couple, Wright wrote, “My favorite son is getting hitched and we are thrilled!!! We love you both so so much !!!”
James Patrick Stuart commented, “Just wonderful. Congratulations to them both!!! Xoxox.”
Naturally, the comment section quickly filled up with congratulations from fans and co-stars alike.
For those who may not know, Wright has been in a relationship with her former General Hospital co-star Wes Ramsey (Peter August) since 2017. The two first met several years earlier when they worked together on Guiding Light.
Before that, Wright got engaged to architect John Wright in August 1995, and the former couple married on October 7, 1995. They share two children: a daughter, Lauren Elizabeth, born in 1998, and their son LJ, born in 2000. In April 2016, Wright announced that she and John decided to end their marriage.
