Veteran actress Leigh Taylor-Young (ex-Katherine Barrett Crane /Ellen Wheeler, Passions) will appear in the upcoming Showtime television show American Gigolo.
The drama series, a present-day reimagining of the iconic film, stars Jon Bernthal, Gretchen Mol, Gabriel LaBelle, Lizzie Brocheré, Leland Orser, and Rosie O’Donnell. In the series’ pilot Taylor-Young will play “Gail St. John.”
The synopsis of the series reads; Julian Kaye (Bernthal) 18 years after being arrested for murder is struggling to find his footing in the Los Angeles sex industry, seeking the truth about the setup that sent him to prison, and hoping to reconnect with Michelle (Mol), his one true love.
The series is set to debut sometime this year in 2022, a specific premiere date has not been announced yet. This Taylor-Young’s first acting gig in 11 years.
