I’m not sure who was more confused at the sight of Xander (Paul Telfer) and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) on Days of Our Lives. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) or the viewers.

Let’s be honest. Xander Kiriakis isn’t really known for his selflessness. So, when he took the time to care for Maggie in her fragile state after drinking for the first time in thirty years, it was a little perplexing.

But when he started to tell the story of his mother who became an alcoholic after the death of his father, it started to make sense. He recounted a sad childhood of having to take care of his mother, and wishing his Uncle Victor (John Aniston) would take them away and care for them. He also stated how his mother had cut all ties with him after he went to prison.

A tragic upbringing for sure, and one that could explain why Xander is the way he is. But then again this is Xander. Is he telling the truth? Or is this just another set of lies that he is using to get something he wants?

Maybe Xander is telling the truth? He did seem sincere. Could we possibly see Xander’s mother making her appearance in Salem?

Let us know what you think.
