Marci Miller’s time as Abigail Deveraux DiMera on Days of Our Lives comes to an end on November 19, 2018. In the new Soap Opera Digest magazine issue, Miller talks her exit, Kate Mansi’s return, and her new gig.

Miller notes that it was a bittersweet decision to not renew her contract at its end but if she hadn’t moved on now and tried new things at the moment, she would regret it later. Miller also spoke about her last day on set which she highlights as “so lovely“.  She notes that there was a big goodbye party and she now misses her Days family but keeps in touch with them namely; Sal Sowers (Lani), Billy Flynn (Chad), Camila Banus (Gabi) and Melissa Reeves (Jennifer).

Miller has an exciting new gig in the pipeline. A new series is on the way and Miller is the lead. In this regard, she told SOD, “I’m working on a new series. I wrapped DAYS in May, and started shooting it in July. It’s not official where it’s going to go yet. It could be Netflix, it could be Amazon, it could be anywhere. They’re a little bit undecided who they want to sell it to at this point. It has a working title, but I’m technically not allowed to say all kinds of stuff. There are great people in it – from Breaking Bad and House of Cards. I’m the lead girl. It’s been a great time, one of my favorite creative experiences of my life. The pilot is shot and we’re actually working on the rest of the series now. It’s 10 episodes. Then, fingers crossed, we’ll get a nice season 2. I’m excited for everyone to see it.”
