A Tense Moment at the Park
The episode began with Daniel and Tessa spending time together in the park, strumming guitars and bonding over music. Things took a turn when Mariah walked in and spotted them. As soon as she locked eyes with Tessa, the mood shifted. Daniel took the hint and made his way to Society, giving Mariah and Tessa a chance to talk.
What started as a casual conversation quickly escalated. Mariah asked about Aria, but when Tessa tried to dig into what’s really been going on with her, Mariah shut down.
Frustrated and hurt, Tessa suggested maybe it was time to make their separation permanent, especially since Mariah still refuses to be honest with her.
The Flashback That Changed Everything on Young and Restless July 8
As Tessa walked away, Mariah was hit with a disturbing memory. In a flashback, we saw her suffocating the elderly man with a pillow. That single scene answered the question fans have been asking for months: What exactly happened while Mariah was out of town?
There’s clearly more to the story. The flashback was brief, but now we know why whatever happened has been haunting her ever since.
Meanwhile, at Society…
Back at Society, Daniel arrived just in time to find Danny and Christine deep in conversation. Christine gracefully gave the father and son some space to catch up. During their talk, Danny opened up about his next big step: he’s planning to propose to Christine.
Elsewhere in Genoa City…
Victoria and Claire continued to grieve Cole’s death. Claire shared a dream she had about him. Later, someone from the funeral home came by to help them make arrangements, including selecting an urn. It turns out cremation was Cole’s final wish.
Nate Hastings also stopped by to pay his respects after hearing the news.
So… Did Mariah Really Kill That Man?
