Marissa Reyes will officially wrap her Days of Our Lives run as Arianna Horton on Wednesday, March 25. This is less than a year after making her debut on the Peacock soap opera. And now the actress is speaking out about the exit that comes as a surprise for many.
In a new Instagram post, which includes a carousel of pictures and videos of some behind-the-scenes moments, Reyes notes, “In honor of my final episode of @dayspeacock airing this week, I thought that I’d share some memories from my wrap day!”
She adds, “It has been an absolute honor to be a part of such a legacy, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for what this opportunity has taught and given me.”
Marissa Reyes Opts to Leave Days
Since news of her exit broke, many fans wondered if it was her or the show’s decision. And now Reyes explains, “Although it was my choice—and mine alone—to make my exit from the show, I will always look back on this chapter with complete and honest gratitude and affection. It’s bittersweet to see the end of this chapter, but I am over the moon excited to welcome in the next. Here’s to what’s coming!!”
Reyes makes her final appearance on the show this week in an episode where her character, Ari, gives Liam (Hank Northrop) some good news.
There’s no doubt that we will miss her on the show, but a new actress will be taking over the part sometime in April.
Reyes is among several cast members who will make onscreen exits in the coming months. As some fans would know by now, a “bloodbath” occurred earlier this year when four leading stars, Raven Bowens (Chanel), Carson Boatman (Johnny), Ashley Puzemis (Holly), and Leo Howard (Tate) were let go from the show.
