Famed for playing Nikki Newman on The Young and the Restless since 1979, Melody Thomas Scott is officially being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The announcement was made on July 2 by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and fans of the legendary actress have every reason to celebrate. After more than four decades playing one of daytime television’s most beloved characters, Scott is finally receiving one of Hollywood’s highest honors.
She joins the Walk of Fame Class of 2026, a new group of entertainment professionals selected across categories including Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance, Radio, Recording, and Sports Entertainment. In the Television category, Scott is in good company alongside notable names such as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Chef Gordon Ramsay.
Having played Nikki since 1979, Scott’s work has made her a staple of American daytime television. She follows in the footsteps of her longtime co-star and on-screen husband Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), who received his own star in 2007.
