The Young and the Restless is welcoming back two familiar faces: Paxton Mishkind and Sienna Mercuri, who have been away from Genoa City for several months, and their return couldn’t have come at a better time! It’s been quite some time since viewers last saw these two, but that’s all about to change.

Paxton Mishkind and Sienna Mercuri Return to Y&R

Mishkind and Mercuri are officially making their way back to The Young and the Restless as Johnny and Katie Abbott. The two actors were last seen on the CBS soap back on December 24, 2025, and now they are set to pop back up in episodes airing October 16 and 19.

Their return comes right as Billy Abbott and Sally Spectra prepare to tie the knot, bringing the Abbott family together for a major special occasion. Viewers will get to watch the brother-sister duo cheer on their dad as he prepares to say “I do” and welcome a new stepmom!

Mishkind even shared some fun behind-the-scenes photos from the wedding setup on Instagram. The ceremony features a full Great Gatsby theme.

A Look Back at Johnny and Katie Abbott

Johnny and Katie have been a staple on The Young and the Restless for years, even though both characters spend plenty of time off-canvas. Johnny is the biological son of Chelsea Lawson and Billy Abbott, while Katie is the daughter of Billy and Victoria Newman.

Their deep family connections have fueled plenty of drama over the years—especially Johnny’s discovery that Chelsea is his biological mom despite being raised by Victoria. Johnny had to work through a lot of heavy feelings surrounding his birth and his relationship with Chelsea. Meanwhile, Katie has had her own share of family drama, particularly when it comes to the complicated history between her parents.

Now, with Billy getting ready to marry Sally, it’ll be really interesting to see how both kids respond to another major shift in their dad’s personal life!

Will Johnny and Katie Stick Around?

So far, there haven’t been any official announcements about additional episodes beyond October 16 and 19. For now, we will just have to wait and see if Johnny and Katie have more scenes coming up down the road!
