It was a Carter week, and Lawrence Saint-Victor has been selected as Soap Opera News’ performer of the week for his outstanding work on The Bold and the Beautiful.
After recently celebrating his 12th anniversary with the show, Saint-Victor really got his chance to shine this week. The actor was at the top of his game as he channeled Carter’s emotional depth when the character navigated a whirlwind of emotions.
This week, Daphne put aside her seduction attempts to make an appeal to his better judgment. She urged him to recognize that pulling a coup and robbing the Forrester family of their company was not the way to go. Not long after, Brooke came in and echoed this sentiment, and by the end of the week, Carter found himself an emotional wreck. He was left grappling with the impact of his actions towards his best friend and the Forresters.
He was also faced with conflicting feelings: his love and loyalty to Hope and his regrets. When he proposed that they apologize and move forward, Hope refused! She told him that she refused to go back to the way things were—who would after gaining their power within the fashion conglomerate?
As an emotionally frustrated Hope stormed out, Carter was left with nothing but tears, his conflicting emotions, and the Valentine’s Day gift he had prepared for her. With tears streaming down his face, Saint-Victor was undeniably in his element, delivering an incredible performance to close out the soap week. Congrats on being named the performer of the week! Bravo, Lawrence, you truly delivered!
