Karla Mosley is bringing it!
This week, the soap genre got a delightful dose of drama with the debut of CBS’ new daytime drama, Beyond the Gates, which premiered on February 24th.
Right off the bat, we had our eyes glued to Dani Dupree Hamilton, played by the fabulous Karla Mosley, and let me tell you, she did NOT disappoint!
Mosley finally got the front-burner storyline she so richly deserves where she plays an angry, jilted ex-wife who’s doing a masterclass in drama. Hey, can you imagine discovering that your husband, Bill, decided to trade you in for your daughter’s best friend and is about to marry her in Fairmont Crest!
Karla Mosley Is the Performer of the Week
Dani’s emotions were boiling over, and in a glorious fit of rage, she even punched Hayley (the husband stealer) right in the face. And then she attacked her ex with a golf club—right in the middle of a meeting, no less! Ah, this is the kinda soapy chaos we live for! This is what soap operas do best—the drama, the twists, and the cliffhangers that keep us perched on the edges of our seats.
Beyond the Gates knocked it out of the park in its very first week! The icing on the cake? The stellar cast that made the stories come alive, with Mosley shining through every scene. Even in moments when her character said nothing—like when her character silently plots revenge while putting on mascara in front of a mirror—what an entrance!
Hats off to Karla Mosley for being crowned Soap Opera News’ performer of the week—couldn’t have happened to a more deserving diva!
