Portia’s life completely spiraled this week. One minute, she’s enjoying some quiet time with Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), and the next, she gets hit with a subpoena to appear in court for Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial. Naturally, she was a mess, but she tried to stay hopeful.
What Happened this Week on General Hospital?
Fast forward: The next day, she showed up in court looking flawless. But all of that polished exterior quickly disappeared once Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) started questioning her on the stand. Portia’s secret became bare right there in the courtroom.
Portia could not lie under oath, so once Alexis questioned her about her whereabouts the night Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was shot, Portia was forced to admit something she had been trying to keep under wraps: she spent the night at the Metro Court with Isaiah. That truth was laid bare in front of everyone, including her husband, Curtis (Donnell Turner), and daughter Trina (Tabyana Ali).
The moment was raw and emotional, and Kerr delivered it all perfectly. This is exactly the kind of emotionally charged moment where Brook Kerr shines, and she did not disappoint ever. She NEVER disappoints.
Even though things could have been handled differently if she had been more careful, viewers were right there with her, feeling every bit of the turmoil. Brook Kerr reminded everyone exactly why her talent runs so deep and why she’s beloved in this genre. Congratulations on Performer of the Week, you earned it.
