Oh, what a week we had in soaps! Jonathan Jackson has been crowned Soap Opera News’ performer of the week for his role as Lucky Spencer on General Hospital!
While we, the viewers, are desperately waiting for Lucky to storm back into Port Charles and be reunited with his loved ones, Jackson delivered a performance worthy of an Emmy-sized trophy in scenes where Lucky was desperate to get away from Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) clutches. And when Lucky started seeing people who weren’t there—yes, that’s right, Elizabeth—Jackson truly got his time to shine! And let’s not forget Rebecca Herbst, who elevated those scenes! So, it’s sealed: Jonathan Jackson takes home the crown this week. Congrats, on being named the performer of the week.
Honorary Mentions:
Soaps would never be the same without the fabulous actors who sprinkle a little crazy on the stories! In this week’s honorary mentions, we’ve got the fabulous Paul Telfer (Xander, DAYS), who absolutely nailed those confrontational scenes with Eric Martsolf’s Brady Black! And let’s not forget Julie Dove, our beloved wacky lady Connie, who, as the story winds down, unveiled Connie’s delightfully spooky, delusional antics like she was auditioning for a horror film. Meanwhile, Billy Flynn (Chad) kept fans gasping, especially when his character emotionally recited his wedding vows to “Abigail”! (Photo: ABC)
