The latest episodes of General Hospital have been emotionally charge and left many viewers feeling like an emotional wreck. Among the standout performances was Van Hansis, who has been chosen as Soap Opera News’ Performer of the Week for his stellar work as Dr. Lucas Jones.

This past week, viewers were treated to some outstanding performances from Nancy Lee Grahn (last week’s POW), Dominic Zamprogna (Dante), Genie Francis (Laura), Finn Francis Carr (Rocco), and rising star Cosette Abinante (Scout). However, Hansis got his time to shine during a pivotal moment in Lucas’s storyline.

Lucas grappled with overwhelming guilt after his sister’s tragic death. His struggle to function and placing the blame on himself for the situation was palpable, and Hansis delivered a performance that elevated him to the ranks of the greats on GH. It’s never easy to step into the shoes of an established character, especially in a show that has been around for decades, but Hansis has done so with grace and emotional depth. His portrayal undoubtedly left a lasting impact on viewers and earned him the well-deserved title of Performer of the Week. Thumbs up to him for flawlessly executing such heartbreaking scenes!

  1. Sam’s death was sad but we all knew it was coming. Holly really has some gall if Sasha isn’t Roberts daughter. But above all GET JASON AND CARLY BACK TOGETHER, TOGETHER TOGETHER.
