Love was in the air as Eric and Nicole and Eli and Lani got engaged. Zoey revealed that Orpheus had taken her son when Hope and Rafe tried to stop her from helping her father. Hope protected Rafe when she fought with Zoey over a gun but ultimately let her go to find her missing child. Steve took down Orpheus as he and Marlena rescued John. Abby and Chad shared an emotional goodbye to their children. Jake couldn’t get Gabi out of his head and confronted her about trying to drug him. Gabi shared with Rafe that she thinks Rolf set her up and he was the one who drugged Abby.
Hope and John realized that Orpheus’ games were far from over and Hope was able to locate and dispose of the bomb planted in their apartment just in time. A revenge-seeking Justin pulled a gun on Orpheus in the police station. Steve and Kayla worked to talk him down before he did something he regretted. Steve, knowing that Justin killing him would hurt Kayla, took the gun from Justin. Lani and Eli got an unexpected surprise when they found out she was pregnant. Eli was confused when Lani said that she didn’t think she could have this baby. Eric and Nicole shared their good news with the family…including Sami, who had a typical Sami response. Will and Sonny decided that now was the perfect time to try to have another baby.
Julie agreed to officiate Ben and Ciara’s wedding. The thugs came back to the garage looking for Jake and found Ben. Ciara was able to get them to back off by telling them they were messing with a killer. Ciara asked Ben to quit his job because it was too dangerous. Steve and Hope were having a hard time accepting their new hero status, especially after Kate announced they were being given keys to the city. John confronted Victor for his betrayal of Brady causing him to have a panic attack. Brady and Sarah continued their reuse making Xander think they were a couple but Eric and Nicole began to wonder if they were playing him. Justin decided he was ready to commit to Kayla just as Steve is ready to fight for her. After receiving Sonny’s blessing, Justin proposed to Kayla in the middle of the hospital…in front of Steve, God, and everyone.
Our Performer of the Week is Days of Our Lives’ Wally Kurth!
We just love Wally Kurth! And we really love it when Wally is given great material to work with. His scenes opposite the evil Orpheus were amazing. Justin’s anger mixed with his grief took over all sense of logical thinking as he pulled a gun on his love’s killer – hands shaking. Wally did an incredible job portraying what Justin was feeling!

Watching a parent say goodbye to their child is always heartbreaking. Abby and Chad sat down with their young children this week to explain that their mother was sick and had to leave to get better. Kate and Billy were wonderful and caring in the emotional scenes. We can’t wait to have them back in Salem!
