The Young and the Restless
Billy and Amanda’s friendship continues to grow as they learn that they have a lot more in common than they thought. Amanda comes right out and asks Billy if he is looking to have an affair. He, of course, denies the accusation. But after Victoria turns down his idea for a sudden night together out of town his first thought is to text Amanda. Although, she probably appreciated his text more than the creepy silent phone call she received later. Summer and Kyle got to spend some time together as they worked the night away at Jabot. As did Theo and Lola while he played taste tester for her new menu item. Elena’s truce with Amanda is short-lived after she finds Devon’s file on her. Including the information that she was engaged to a man named Ripley Turner. The two filed restraining orders against each other before she closed her office and headed for Genoa City. Nate is concerned by their actions towards Amanda. Abby and Chance go out on their date.
After learning that the school didn’t want Connor to return after winter break, a desperate Chelsea turned to Sharon. Sharon got her in contact with Amanda, who advised that maybe a change would be good for everyone involved. Nikki felt uneasy about her conversation with Adam when he dropped off Connor at the ranch. She contacted Nick to express her concerns that Adam was getting more attached to the idea of him, Chelsea, and Connor being a family unit. Adam reached out to Phyllis for a simple favor. LOL For her to seduce Nick so they both can get what they want! Phyllis was obviously upset by the demand and told him that he would regret it. Theo learns from Kyle that he apparently missed a meeting that he “knew” was scheduled for another day. He believed that Kyle may have set him up sending the two into an argument. Jack uses the situation to test both men and advises Summer to take a step back and not try to mediate. Billy tells Victoria that he has landed a consulting job that will take him to Chicago for work on occasion.
Summer questions Nick about the state of his and Chelsea’s relationship. After her latest meeting with Connor, Sharon advises Adam that they might be sending the wrong message to Connor about Chelsea staying with them and his parents getting back together. And after Adam has a dream about Chelsea we certainly agree with Sharon’s analysis. Phyllis tells Jack that she is going to rage war on Adam for his stunt. He tells her that she is better than that and advises that she should focus on building up her own life instead of tearing Adam’s down. Chelsea tells Nick that she understands their situation isn’t an easy one but asks him to hold on. Abby comes to Jack with her concerns about Billy’s behavior recently. Jack says that he will talk to him.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Steffy agreed to work with Liam despite her hesitation. They start with Thomas’ friend Vinny. They go to his apartment shocked to find Zoe there. She tells them that they should be worried about Thomas. Liam comes up with the plan that Steffy could hire Zoe back and she could be the go-between for them. Zoe, who just had another conversation with Thomas about getting her job back that went nowhere, is happy to do it. Steffy, on the other hand, doesn’t want to hire back the woman who helped deceive her. Hope tells Brooke that she is conflicted about working with Thomas because his designs are amazing and he really understands her vision for the line. Desperate for other options she goes to Quinn and Sally asking for them to work with her. Both turn her down and suggest that she work with Thomas.
Hope goes to chat with Thomas and is shocked to find his office set up for a romantic dinner. She is even more surprised to find out that it wasn’t for but for Zoe. Hope apologized for the rant she went on, but it didn’t matter. All Thomas heard was the fact that she said she thought she was starting to trust him again. Thomas tells her that he has finally accepted what she has been telling him and is ready to move on…hopefully with Zoe. Wyatt and Liam chat about Thomas and Liam’s plan to take him down. Eric, Steffy, and Ridge walk in on the commotion in Thomas’ office. Thomas tells them that he is starting a relationship with Zoe, and thinks that they should hire her back in the spirit of forgiveness. Hope thinks the idea is insane, but Steffy agrees to give her the job back. Later Brooke confronts Ridge about the decision and he lets her know that he was just as surprised as she is. Liam comes by the office and Steffy tells him that she went through with the plan. Thomas was talking with Zoe about their budding romance and kisses her when he sees that Hope is coming into his office. Hope begins to think that she might have to work with Thomas on the showdown which upsets Liam.
General Hospital
Curtis comes to Nina with the knowledge that Liesl was involved in the Sasha plot with Valentin. She confronts her about it and Liesl tells her about how Valentin was able to fake the DNA. Ava’s auction went off with a bang…or should we say a spark? Laura won the auction for almost half of a million dollars when Nina dragged Jax away telling him to stop bidding. Everyone was shocked when the painting self-combusted and was reduced to ashes. Peter stops by the hospital to see if Franco has woken up yet. He is met with gratitude from Andre, Cameron, and Liz for saving Franco and shooting the gunman. Trina finds Nik in the gallery’s storage room and he takes off. Chase and Finn talk about Willow and the idea of starting a family. Anna begins to question Peter about the shooting. Dustin and Lulu’s fun day with Rocco and Charlotte turns disastrous after Charlotte jumps off the pier to prove to Rocco that she has a bodyguard. Dustin jumps into the water to save her and luckily she wasn’t under the water very long. Laura, Valentin, and Nina meet them at the hospital. Rocco tells them why Charlotte jumped and Laura brings up the fact that she had told her about the bodyguard as well. Valentin, of course, blames Lulu for the incident and vows to sue for full custody. Charlotte shows Laura the picture of Nik on Lulu’s phone and tells her that it is the guard.
Franco woke up after his procedure and Liz and Cameron were happy to see that he was Franco again. Andre advised that they take it slow and let his memories come back on their own. He does ask Peter to come in to thank him for saving his life after finding out about the shooting. He tells Peter that he will do something to repay him…to which Peter asks for an exclusive for The Invader. Jax tells Nik that at the beginning of the year their partnership is over and he will take down Valentin on his terms. Which includes asking Curtis to track down Claudette. Sonny brings his concerns about Carly to Jason. Jason later overhears Carly and Jax arguing about turning Nik in and getting out of the situation. She tells him that they have to keep Sonny in the dark. Sonny though makes a mysterious phone call to someone to help her.
Lucy wants to relaunch Deception and pulls Sasha in to save her failing meeting. Sasha and Michael are able to talk the woman into backing the project. Sasha tells Lucy that she wants to be an equity partner. Nikolas returns to the gallery at night to find Ava waiting on him with a gun. She confronts him about his lies. He tells her everything about his time away and why he has been trying to take down Valentin. He figures out that Ava removed the codicil before destroying the portrait. Michael and Willow spend some quality time with Wiley. Liz and Franco return home. She has to tell him the truth about Drew when he begins to ask about him. Anna finds out during her search into Peter’s past that he worked with the man who tried to kill Andre and Franco at DVX. Nelle gets a visit from Martin at the hospital, who tells her that she needs to listen to him and follow the program. Jordan stops by to tell her that she will be returning to Pentonville soon. Jordan also had news for Julian. Brad’s car was so damaged in the crash they were unable to determine what caused the accident. Lucas’ doctor tells Brad and Julian that Lucas has slipped into another coma and they want to transfer him to a longterm care facility. Amy comforts a heartbroken Brad and reaches out to Michael to bring Wiley by to see him. Brad also finds out from Amy that Nelle is in the hospital. He sneaks into her room to yell at her for ruining his life. Michael gets stopped by Martin at the hospital and Nelle sees Willow with Wiley.
Days of Our Lives
Xander confronted Ciara about the case. She pleads innocent not knowing that he heard about her drilling to open a keepsake box. Evan apologizes to Kate for upsetting her and tells her that Sonny had nothing to do with their kiss. She tells him to stay away from Sonny, but he said they were friends and that wasn’t going to happen. Sonny visits Will. They have a heartbreaking discussion about the state of their marriage and Will tells him that they should get a divorce. Ben warns Clyde to stay away from Will. Rafe, “Hope”, and Abby are shocked to see Dr. Rolf on the security footage. The tech analyst tells them that the original was doctored with. Abby suggests that they check out the hotel room that Chad had met with Rolf. Gina goes to Stefano, who had been the one to threaten the analyst to change the footage. When Rafe doesn’t find anything in the hotel he tries to get ahold of Hope, but she had already left the station. He and Abby talk about what Hope might be hiding when it comes to the truth about Jennifer’s accident.
Marlena finally put her foot down and told John to kick “Hope” out after catching them in a somewhat compromising position. Gina took the opportunity to express her true feelings for John, but he had to let her down gently. Marlena brings her home issues to Kate, who apparently has also known about Gina’s plan all along. Lani and Kristen get some R&R time in before starting on their plan to take back their lives. While Gabi is upset to learn that Eli failed to complete his mission of retrieving Kristen’s shares of DiMera stock. JJ wakes in the hospital to find Julie by his side. He had made Eli promise to not call his parents, but Julie sees that he is going to need someone to get him through his pain. She goes looking for Marlena but finds Brady instead. She tells him about JJ and how he tried to kill Kristen. Chad question Kate about how Stefano knew he had lied considering she was the only person who knew. After learning that Rolf was the one who pushed Jennifer, Chad reached out to Stefano to tell him that if he will go after him if he gets the chance and warns Stefano to leave them be as well. Stefano tells Rolf that he will be making the ultimate sacrifice and playing the scapegoat in Jennifer’s accident. What they didn’t plan on was a witness seeing Rolf enter into the building. Gina has to rush and get Stefano out of the building before Rafe finds him. Gina covers her story by telling Rafe she received the same tip and was there investigating. Unfortunately, she forgot to remove every bit of evidence. Rafe discovered things that lead him to believe that Stefano was there. He also found her tiara but thinks it is meant for Marlena. Abe receives a call from Celeste saying that she felt that Stefano has not returned but at the same time was somehow there in Salem.
Victor calls out Justin for representing Ben, and Ciara plays along with the story. But Victor also knows that Ciara has been making trips to the prison. She claims that it was to visit Will. He doesn’t really believe her and calls one of his sources to call him the next time Ciara visits. Kate was rude to Kayla while she was waiting at the pub for Justin. Their argument was interrupted when she received a text from Stefano. He needed somewhere to hide after being kicked out of the loft. While Kate was trying to make sure the coast was clear Stefano spotted Kayla though the window and had a visceral reaction. Steve is still there somewhere! Gabi received a call from Kristen wanting to talk about the shares. Gabi asks her about Lani and Kristen downplays their interactions while Lani listens in on their conversation. Roman goes to check on Kate after she didn’t come down for work on time. She had to quickly hide Stefano in the bathroom, but Roman found his shoe and assumed that she had an overnight guest. Abby questions what Eli sees in Gabi before he tells her about JJ. Marlena stops by the pub to deliver Kate a Christmas present not knowing that Stefano is in the room. Gabi gloats to Chad that Kristen is going to give up her shares to her, but Chad receives a call of his own from Kristen offering him a proposition.
Our Performer of the Week is Days of Our Lives’ Freddie Smith (Sonny Kiriakis)!
Sonny has us emotional to start the week off! He went to visit Will in prison. The two had a heartbreaking conversation about the state of their relationship. He tried his best to convince Will that his friendship with Evan was just that. But Will told him that he deserved to move on and not be held back by their marriage. They still love each other, but their lives will never be the same after Will killed his mother. It was sad to watch them both realize that their marriage was over. Freddie did an amazing job with the depth of the scenes and had us crying with him!
Honorable Mention: General Hospital’s Parry Shen (Brad Cooper)!
Brad learned that Lucas has slipped into another coma due to the swelling on his brain. He was devastated when the doctor suggested that he be transferred to a longterm care facility. His breakdown was hard to watch! His ‘why Lucas and not me’ speech made us emotional! Amy did her best to comfort him, but after he found out that Nelle was in the hospital he took off. He took his anger out on Nelle as he yelled his frustrations about his situation she put him in. We love seeing Parry with this kind of material! He has been amazing with this baby switch storyline and the fallout!
