Will and Sonny went to Abe for help locating a missing Gabi after Jake was less than helpful. Belle and Shawn made their return to Salem to be by Claire’s side as her doctors decided whether or not she was ready to leave Bayview. Gwen revealed that she faked a breakdown in order to hide away from her ex-boyfriend. After failing to get Jack and Jennifer to help her get Steve and Hope to the key ceremony, she went to John for help. Claire was able to get a supervised release and told her parents that she wanted to stay in Salem. John and Marlena agreed to let her stay with them and Marlena quickly was concerned about Claire having Ciara’s wedding invitation in her belongings.
Eric and Nicole got a surprise when Sami’s daughter, Allie, showed up on their doorstep asking to stay with them. They then got an even bigger shock when she revealed she was pregnant. Lucas, who came back to town looking for Allie, chastised Kate for aiding in her troublesome ways by giving her a credit card after they cut her off. They were able to track Allie down and Lucas was furious to learn that his daughter was pregnant. Rafe was left heartbroken when he learned that Zoe had won custody of David. Hope stayed by his side as he said goodbye to David. Steve and Kayla shared a brief sweet moment as they reminisced. John told Steve that the key ceremony would be good for him after Steve asked to return to BlackPatch.
Eli and Lani decided on a Fourth of July wedding. Will and Sonny got bad news when they were turned down by an adoption agency for being a gay couple. Abe asked Eli and Lani to look into Gabi’s disappearance. Ciara confronted Brady about tossing her proposal in the trash and her thoughts about his trying to sabotage the company. Sarah filled Maggie in about Xander’s betrayal. Xander found some much-needed advice from Jack about trying to win back a Horton woman. Sarah decided that she would have to change up her revenge plan and kissed Brady in the town square. Ciara was shocked to find Claire at her door.
Our Performer of the Week is Days of Our Lives’ Galen Gering!
Poor Rafe! He was left devastated after learning that Zoe had won custody of David and that he would have to say goodbye. It broke our heart to see him struggle to keep calm as he explained to David that he was going away. Galen did a great job in the emotional scenes opposite Kristian Alfonso as she comforted him.

It was good to have Lucas back!!! We’ve certainly missed him. Lucas returned to Salem with a bang confronting Kate about helping out a troubled Allie despite him and Sami cutting her off. Lucas calling out Kate’s hypocrisy about staying out of her children’s business was HILARIOUS! Things took a turn for the dramatic when Lucas tracked down his daughter and discovered that she took off because she was trying to hide the fact that she is pregnant.
