The Young and the Restless

Phyllis finally showed her cards as she began to blackmail Chelsea for her shares of The Grand Phoenix. Chelsea, wanting to protect her family, decided to give up her shares after Adam told her the full story of what happened in Vegas. Abby wasn’t happy about the situation, and once she found out the truth from Chance, she confronted Phyllis about her scandalous plot. Lola got an eye full when she saw Summer and Kyle together. She was surprisingly mature when she told them that it was time for them to leave the past in the past and move on. And part of her moving on meant planning to start her own restaurant. The town began to gather for the Newman Enterprises 50th anniversary gala. Including some surprise guests like Noah, Julia, and Victor’s brother Matt.

Sharon told Nikki about her cancer after she caught her getting sick in the bathroom. Nikki promised to be there for Nick and Faith during her battle. Jill and Jack worried about Billy’s recent behavior. At the party Phyllis and Nick shared a kiss and Adam proposed to Chelsea. Billy decided on a whim to crash the gala. Amanda followed in the hopes of stopping him from causing a scene. What she didn’t know was that she was being followed by Ripley. Once they got to the party things went worse than she could ever have imagined as Ripley mistakenly stabbed Victoria instead of her. She sees him run out of the party as Nate and Elena tend to an injured Victoria. Paul begins to question Billy about what happened and Amanda stepped in to tell them she saw the real perp. The entire Newman family, Adam and Chelsea included, gathered at the hospital as Victoria went into surgery. Things grew tense when Billy showed up, and Chelsea had to escort Billy out with the promise of keeping him in the loop. Billy went to check on a shaken Amanda as Victoria’s family learned that she was now in a medically induced coma to give her the best chance at healing.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Zoe became offended after everyone was continually questioning her relationship with Thomas. Liam and Hope argued once again about Thomas using her and driving a wedge between them. Hope countered back that the only reason they weren’t together was him and feelings for Steffy…and that if she were with Thomas she would never have to worry about him being faithful to her. Katie continued to press Sally to fight for her life and let Wyatt in. Ridge was upset with Steffy when she began to question Thomas’ motives. Steffy told Liam that it blew her mind that Hope was jumping at the opportunity to be with him. Thomas planned a big family dinner at Eric and Quinn’s.

Brooke warned Zoe to run while she still had the chance. Quinn told Thomas that he needed to tone down the PDA with Zoe or people will start to think that he is faking the whole thing. But Thomas doesn’t listen and proceeded to propose to Zoe in front of everyone. Zoe, who was in shock, practically had to beg Thomas to tell her he loved her before she would agree to marry him. She said yes, but was still hesitant about spreading the word about her engagement. Brooke and Liam warned Thomas that they see through his plot. Ridge questioned Thomas about the suddenness of his proposal. Hope was put in an awkward situation as Douglas begged her to be with his father after seeing him with Zoe.

Days of Our Lives

Things went chaotic as Lani interrupted Eli and Gabi’s wedding. Everyone was shocked to hear Lani’s story of how Gabi threatened Julie’s life unless she left Eli at the altar. JJ made sure to back her up. When things weren’t looking good for Gabi, she decided to blow up Julie’s heart not knowing that JJ had already gotten to Julie and stopped the app-controlled pacemaker from going in. Rafe had to arrest his own sister, who is looking at ten years in prison for her crimes. Even though Eli was thankful for Lani saving Julie’s life, he still wasn’t ready to forgive her for the hurt he was put through. The Deveraux clan packed up to leave town to help Lucas after hearing about Bill Horton’s death.

Doug reminisced about his time with Bill as he thought about the last 50 years. Kate, who also got arrested for her part in Stefano’s plan, talked with Gabi about her failed planned for revenge. Stefano finally revealed himself to Kayla, who was in shock over his confession that Steve was on his way home to her when the grabbed him. Rafe filled Justin in on the Stefano situation as they searched for a missing Kayla. Kristen is still having dreams about her baby needing her. Sonny visits with Will in prison to tell him about Gabi and ask about the unfiled divorce papers. Brady learned from Tate that he had been tested for a bone marrow match for Mickey, and he confronted Victor and Xander about asking Teresa to lie about it.

Ben made Ciara promise to stay in Salem looking for evidence that it was David’s father who killed Jordan while he was on the run. Rafe was on the hunt for Ben and found him with Ciara at the Gatehouse. Ciara knocked Rafe out as Ben ran off, but he wound up turning himself into the police later. Sonny laid into Gabi at the police station for hurting Ari again. Will asked Maggie to visit him at the prison as he talked to her about her drinking the night of the accident. Victor busted in on their meeting after hearing she was there. He sent Maggie to meet Sarah at the hospital to find out who was the bone marrow match for Mickey. Victor asked Will not to say anything about Maggie being the one who caused the accident and he almost slipped up about Sarah’s baby dying. Maggie started to have flashes of memory from the night of the accident.

General Hospital

Jax and Nina didn’t let a run-in with Valentin ruin their morning after together. Brando asked Lulu to not publish her piece on the shootings. He then went to Sonny asking what he needs to know to keep the Dev secret silent. Willow was asked by Brad and Lucas to be Wiley’s designated guardian if anything ever happened to them. Chase asked Michael if he was hiding anything he should know about Sonny and the recent attacks. Brook Lynn got a job at the Metro Court. Nelle met with Valentin to finalize the sale of her shares. Finn and Anna have an awkward moment that gets interrupted by Peter. Sonny and Jason retaliate on Cyrus by destroying his product he hid in a warehouse near the pier. TJ got Jordan’s ring to give to Molly. After Cam and Trina talked about his feelings for Joss, he was introduced to her father, Marcus Taggart.

Curtis met with Taggart trying to get information on what Jordan was hiding from him. After another one of Jordan and Marcus’ former colleagues was found dead from an overdose, Taggart decided to fill in Curtis on the situation. Years ago, the four of them were deep undercover with Cyrus’ mob, and they were the ones who sent him to prison. Now, he is back seeking revenge. At Lucas and Brad’s going away party, Lucas remembered what Brad told him the night of the accident. Everyone was shocked to learn the truth, especially Michael. The family tore into Brad as he told them the truth about the night of the switch. Nelle, who had stopped by thinking Wiley would be there, overheard and took off to get him from WIllow’s. Nelle was able to overtake her and get ahold of Wiley as she planned to leave the country. Luckily, Chase and Michael were able to stop her before she could escape.

At the hospital, Chase had the task of telling Willow the heartbreaking truth about her baby. Brad learned just how ruthless Nelle could be as she started to claim that Brad took advantage of her weakened state after she gave birth and forced her to switch babies. Julian talked with Ava about what to do next after Brad surprisingly covered for him. Ava told him that if Sonny finds out the truth he is a dead man. Michael and Lucas both wondered what would be the best thing for WIley. And sadly for Lucas, he knew what had to be done. He handed Wiley over to his real father over more than a year after he was born.

Our Performer of the Week is General Hospital’s Katelyn MacMullen!

WOW! We were completely blown away by Katelyn’s performance this week as Willow learned of the truth about her baby’s death. She was captivating and raw as Willow went through shock, anger, and heartbreak in a matter of moments. We knew that those scenes were coming but we could’ve never guessed how beautifully heartbreaking they would be. Bravo, Katelyn!

Our Honorable Mentions are:

The Young and the Restless’ Mishael Morgan (Amanda)

We all know how amazing an actress Mishael Morgan is and she proved that once again this week. After Amanda’s ex Ripley mistakenly stabbed Victoria instead of her, she was in a state of shock. We watched as she went through the fear and guilt of the situation. The what-ifs plaguing her as she was left on her own to process everything. Mishael was perfect at silent conveying the range of emotions that Amanda went through.

General Hospital’s Chad Duell (Michael)

Michael FINALLY has his son back! Hallelujah! We’ve been waiting more than a year to see Michael’s reaction to the news that his son had been alive living with Brad and Lucas this whole time. And Chad Duell did not disappoint with his performance! After Michael made it out of his state of shock, he laid into Brad for his deceit with raw anger that was believable of a man who had time with his child stolen. We’d also like to give kudos Ryan Carnes for the final scene where Lucas did the heartbreaking but right thing by handing Wiley over to Michael.
