Ask any General Hospital fan who their least favorite character
is and strong chances are the response will be Peter August. Therefore, it is always a highlight when a
character gets to confront Peter. In
this past week’s shows, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) was one of those
people. Peter was being held at the
police station and Maxie wanted to confront him; to prove to herself she is no
longer afraid of him. Kirsten Storms
showed Maxie’s feisty side and her overprotective side; fans could feel the
anger and hatred Maxie feels toward Peter through Storms’ powerful
performance. Maxie is desperate to have
Louise back in her arms and she won’t be able to until she knows her baby will
be safe from Peter. Kirsten Storms
brilliantly showcased the balance of Maxie telling Peter off and that he doesn’t
have a hold on her anymore while still highlighting the fear Maxie has that
Peter will get to their baby.
No one tells a mob boss what to do…well except maybe Maxie Jones. After Maxie confronts Peter at the police
station, Maxie sees Sonny and wants to know when Sonny will “take care of”
Peter. Yet again, fans can sense the
desperation and the lengths Maxie is willing to go to in order to be with her
child through Storms’ strong performance.
Fans also love when they get to see Maxie’s lighter, humorous
side. In an effort to put Britt’s mind
at ease, Maxie suggests that Britt go to Maxie’s apartment with her to get “old
school wasted” and when they bump into Nina, she tells Nina that she was trying
to bully Britt into getting “wine hammered”.
Kirsten Storms’ line delivery in these lighter scenes was spot on and
had fans wishing they got to see Maxie and Britt share a glass of wine (or
several) so that they could see more of Maxie’s lighter, funnier side.
General Hospital
Nina and Sonny talk in the chapel of the hospital; Nina lets
Sonny know that Peter threatened to tell Carly about their relationship in
Nixon Falls. Nina also tells Sonny that
she doesn’t regret having the relationship that they had because it was the
purest form of love she’s had. Willow
overhears the conversation and was about to tell Michael and Carly before
getting interrupted. Nina realizes Willow
overheard her conversation with Sonny and asks her if she’s going to tell Sonny’s
family, but warns it would be in everyone’s best interest to keep it
secret. Willow thinks Nina is only
looking out for herself, but she does seem to think Nina has a point that the
secret will hurt Sonny’s loved ones.
Sonny confronts Peter at the police station and threatens
him. Peter tells Sonny that he has proof
(a picture of him kissing Nina in Nixon Falls) and that he made arrangements
for it to be leaked in case Sonny went after him. Out of precaution, Sonny
approaches Ms. Wu and asks if she’d be able to handle Peter on his behalf. She agrees, but only if he promises to not
interfere with Brad’s parole hearing and even takes it a step further; she wants
Sonny to help Brad get parole. Sonny
agrees and Ms. Wu arranges for Brad to poison Peter in his jail cell.
Carly tries to comfort Gladys as they await news on baby
Liam. Lucy tries to do the same with
Sasha as well as TJ with Brando.
Victor admits that he “took care of” Hayden on Nikolas’
behalf. Ava confronts Nikolas in order
for him to admit he was the one responsible for Hayden’s shooting and that she
doesn’t want any more secrets between them.
Martin tries to convince Laura to not go back home to Port
Charles until they are told it is safe for them to do so. While Laura tries to unwind by taking a bath,
Martin is attacked (attempted strangulation) by someone who Cyrus sent after
him. Laura saves him just in time.
Spencer asks Joss to give Esme a chance. Esme tries to convince Trina and Cameron that
the trip would be fun for everyone while she continues to try to stir the pot
within the group.
Scott fills Liesel in about Nina’s charges and Liesel pieces
together that Mike and Sonny are the same person.
The Young & The Restless
Chance reluctantly attends a party that Victor and Nikki
throw for him in honor of him returning home.
Chance makes a toast to his fallen colleagues. Emotionally charged, Chance needed to take a
moment. Devon and Ashley are concerned
and Ashley suggests that their focus should be on Chance healing emotionally
and psychologically. Chance didn’t
realize just how much of a toll him being away caused Abby until he sees her
video diary. Devon and Mariah don’t think
Chance is ready to take care of baby Dominic.
Nick lets Ashland know he still doesn’t trust him and warns
him to not hurt Victoria. Victoria
overhears them talking and she asks Nick why he continues to blame other people
for his own issues. Victoria and Ashland then celebrate that his treatment
seems to be working; his cancer hasn’t progressed since he started his
treatment.
Noah considers working for Newman Media. Billy is adamant on finding a way to keep
ChanceComm. Victor tells Adam that
Newman Media will not make a bid for ChanceComm, but Adam begins to put an offer
together. Billy has a drunken meltdown
in front of Adam and a mysterious woman records it. Lily confides in Victoria
that she is worried about Billy.
Days Of Our Lives
Chloe gets Brady to the hospital and Kayla states that Brady’s
alcohol level was above the normal limits, but she also confirms that the blood
he was covered in was not his own. Chloe connects that the blood type is
Phillip’s. Phillip gets threatening
messages from Brady’s phone. Brady
swears to Chloe that he didn’t hurt Phillip, but she is doubtful.
Gwen confides in Ava about her Sarah/Kristen dilemma. Ava tells her she shouldn’t tell Xander the
truth. Rex returns and tells Kate and Roman
that Sarah broke up with him before he went to Chicago. Gwen is surprised to see Rex back in
town.
Rafe tries to warn Nicole away from EJ and EJ catches the two
of them about to kiss. Johnny is able to
help Sami return home. Sami stops by to reunite
with Allie first and then goes to see EJ right after he has made love to
Nicole. The two women fight. Sami tells
them both that she was kidnapped, but they don’t believe her and EJ kicks her
out.
The Bold & The Beautiful
Brooke is furious to hear about the ultimatum Ridge gave
Hope and reminds him that the home they live in is hers and therefore, her
daughter doesn’t have to leave. Ridge goes back to the office where Steffy and
Thomas let him know they support him completely. Steffy asks Ridge if all of this trouble with
Brooke is worth it. They rehash the
affair Brooke had with Deacon and how Ridge was never really able to fully
commit to either Brooke or Taylor after that.
Ridge tells them that Taylor will always have a special place in his
heart. Taylor returns.
Hope is worried that her relationship with Deacon will affect
Brooke and Ridge’s relationship. Bill
wants Liam to do whatever it takes to get Deacon out of everyone’s lives. Deacon
gets a job as a janitor and Sheila is not impressed with how Deacon is trying
to make a better life for himself.
