WOW! Just WOW! If we had a dollar for every jaw dropped this week during Beyond the Gates, we’d be rich! The performances on the CBS daytime drama were so good, they should win back-to-back awards! But the standout performances came from Ambyr Michelle (Eva) and Trisha Mann-Grant (Leslie), who really brought the house down, proving they’re the dynamic duo we never knew we needed. These two are a gift to the genre and have been crowned performers of the week!
In this week’s rollercoaster of dramatic episodes, Eva was less of a daughter and more of a negotiator trying to talk her mom out of her not-so-chill revenge plot. Spoiler alert: Leslie, queen of vengefulness, wasn’t hearing any of it! In fact, she thinks Ted and the Duprees deserve everything dreadful coming their way. We were practically glued to our seats watching this train wreck unfold.
The Drama
As Ted and Nicole’s anniversary bash began, we were on high alert, ready for the jaw-dropping secret to be revealed! Eva, bless her heart, gave it one last shot to stop Leslie but ended up locked in a room by her own mother. Thankfully, Carlton was passing by and heard Eva’s screams. He swooped in to rescue her. Eva raced back to the gathering but oh no, Leslie couldn’t be stopped! She blew the whistle on her affair with Ted and dropped the bomb that Eva is his daughter. Talk about family drama!
Ambyr Michelle is killing it this year and Trisha Mann-Grant is doing the same as Leslie/Dana or whatever alias she’s using today! You two are legends! Huge congrats on snagging the Soap Opera News’ performers of the week title—definitely well-deserved! The Emmys can’t be that far behind.
