It’s always a fabulous day when soap opera royalties are sharing scenes together, and let’s be honest, it’s an even better day when you realize you’ll need a mountain of hankies nearby for those dramatic tears and emotional scenes! General Hospital fans were in for a treat this week, with Genie Francis (who returned as Laura after her mini-vacation) and Jonathan Jackson as Lucky reunited. Their reunion was so epic that they were crowned Soap Opera News’ performers of the week!
What went down? This week, Lucky made his return to Port Charles and headed straight to the hospital to check on his sister Lulu, who is facing a life-or-death situation without a liver transplant. While Lucky was a potential match, testing revealed that he could not be a viable donor, and this shattered his heart.
Genie Francis and Jonathan Jackson Are the Performers of the Week:
In a fit of frustration, he stormed over to Bobbie’s, where he vented his emotions. As he entered, he demanded that all the patrons leave, and then he dramatically trashed the place. Jackson delivered an electrifying performance that left everyone awestruck.
After a confrontation with Josslyn, who questioned his state of mind, Lucky sought solace in the chapel, where he was unexpectedly reunited with Laura. The joy of their reunion quickly turned to heartache as he broke the news of his inability to help Lulu.
