What a week it was on soaps—narrowing down just one performer was a real task, so instead, we have a fabulous trio! Hats off to Katherine Kelly Lang, Laura Wright, and Eden McCoy, who are collectively crowned as Soap Opera News’ performers of the week!
Katherine Kelly Lang
On The Bold and the Beautiful, Lang, the all-time leading lady Brooke, staged an Emmy-worthy performance at the Forrester Mansion, where she went to reveal her top-secret master plan to Ridge. She hit him with a heartfelt reminder of their love story and “destiny,” but Ridge wasn’t budging in his stance. So, in a dramatic twist, Brooke told him to have fun with Taylor, referring to her as his “second choice” before delivering a dramatic slap and storming off—who knew she was also into shoving? On her way out, as Taylor entered, Brooke shoved her and stormed out. While we may not condone Brooke’s tactics, we can all agree Katherine Kelly Lang brought the drama levels to eleven!
Laura Wright and Eden McCoy
Meanwhile, over at General Hospital, the on-screen mother-daughter duo of Laura Wright (Carly) and Eden McCoy (Josslyn) also brought the drama, each stealing the show in their respective scenes. For Wright, it was the nail-biting moment she discovered her son Michael had been badly burnt in Sonny’s penthouse, followed by some heated exchanges with Drew that had us all on the edge of our seats.
McCoy sparkled in her scenes with Katelyn MacMullen’s Willow, chiding her for cheating with her brother’s own uncle—most viewers were cheering on McCoy as Joss called out Willow!
Lang, Wright, and McCoy nailed their scenes to perfection. Congrats, ladies, on your well-deserved title of performers of the week—keep up the good work! 2025 is off to a good start! (Photo: ABC/JPI.)
