The Young and the Restless

As Kyle and Summer basked in the afterglow of their reunion, their loved ones weren’t so excited for the pair. All involved just want them to be happy and not rush into anything. Sharon went in for her first chemo treatment and did her best to not let her family’s hovering get to her. Though it wasn’t easy after finding out Rey lightened his workload to take care of her. Lola turned to Theo after finding out that Kyle and Summer spent the night together, but Theo was a gentleman. He told her that he didn’t want her to do something she regretted and would be there for her as a friend as long as she needed him. Chelsea and Adam returned from their trip to Paris after deciding moving there wouldn’t be the best move for Connor. Victoria and Billy told the kids about their separation. She also gave Billy the condition that she didn’t want the kids near Amanda, which Billy didn’t appreciate. Ripley was still hanging around town and tried to get Amanda to talk with him. She had Rey arrest him, but after finding her voice again with Billy she decided to drop the charges and let him leave town only if he never came back.

The mystery woman in Vegas started causing trouble when she went to the cops. Chance and Adam decided to go out there to fix the situation. Chelsea asked Adam if she should be worried about this trip. And Phyllis overhearing them talk about leaving planned to go as well. But after talking with Nick, she thought better of it and set up for someone to plant a listening device on them. She then got to hear them talk about how Chance had helped Adam cover up the disappearance of someone who went after him. Amanda and Nate began to worry about Billy’s addiction to thrill-seeking after he crashed a car and refused medical treatment. Kevin and Chloe found out they were having a boy, and he was unsure that he would be a good father after not having the best one of his own. Victor advised Jack to let Billy hit rock bottom because that would be the only way he would learn. Kyle wondered if everyone was right and he would eventually hurt Summer again.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Sally was devastated after finding out that she had only a month to live with no viable treatment options available to her. Katie begged her to not give up and let her loved ones know what was happening, but Sally made her promise to not say anything. Katie quickly broke her promise as she went to Bill with her concerns. Bill wanted to offer his support and find specialists for Sally, but she didn’t want that. Katie then told Wyatt about Sally’s diagnosis even though she doesn’t want him to be with her out of guilt or pity. Thomas set up a birthday party for Zoe and a surprise for Douglas as he saw him with Zoe for the first time. Douglas was clearly upset and told Hope that he didn’t want another mommy. Vinny was worried after hearing about Thomas’ plan to use his son once again.

Brooke and Ridge continued to talk about their problems AKA Thomas. Quinn noticed Sally was distracted at work and offered a little bit of support not knowing her situation. Hope was upset that Thomas had blindsided Douglas by kissing Zoe. He apologized and asked her if there was a chance that they could become a true family before things became deeper with Zoe. Bill and Brooke talked about protecting Douglas from Thomas. Wyatt went to Sally and told her that if she ever needed him he would be there. Then he told Flo about Sally’s diagnosis. Liam warns Thomas to stop playing games.

Days of Our Lives

When things didn’t go as planned Clyde helped Ben escape while he stayed behind. Ben made it to the meeting point and was surprised to find Ciara waiting for him. As happy as he was to see her he was afraid of getting her in trouble and tried to get her to leave him behind…which didn’t work. Chad discovered them hiding out in the gatehouse and Ciara begged him not to call the police. Chad told Ben that he had to be gone by the next morning or he would call them. Marlena offered to be a hostage for Gina to save John. Stefano found out that Kate was behind the Hattie/Marlena switch and tried to choke Hattie before Chad and Abby found them. During a struggle, Stefano was shot. He knocked Chad out and locked them in the loft before seeking help from Kayla. Rafe and Kate were able to find John and Roman saved Marlena from Gina as she took off.

Jennifer remembered that Gina was the one who pushed her off the balcony after Shawn told her and Jack about her. Kayla helped Stevano with his wound and he made her promise to not let anyone know that he was there making her believe that Stefano was after them. She agreed and lied to Justin about having to work overnight and helped “Steve” hide not knowing that Stefano had taken her phone to stop someone from telling her the truth about his identity. Gina ran into Rafe and hit her head in the struggle. She pretended to be Hope again and tried to stab Rafe, but was stopped by Kate. Sarah was happy for Eric and Nicole as they reunited, but they weren’t so happy about her being with Xander. Sarah and Eric got the test results back and unfortunately, nobody tested was a match for Mickey. Xander went to Victor knowing that Tate would be the best chance at a bone marrow match for her. Victor called Teresa, who agreed to get him and herself tested.

Gabi was able to get another app-controlled pacemaker in for Julie’s surgery. Rafe brought Gina into the station and she told Shawn that Hope was never coming back. Kayla laid into “Steve” about his behavior. Chad and Abby warned Gabi of Stefano’s return. Brady and Kristen made love. Gabi and Eli’s wedding began and was quickly interrupted by Lani.

General Hospital

Neal and Alexis continued to fight their feelings for each other as Alexis was called to testify under oath about their relationship with the medical board. Joss warned Trina about getting close to Ava. Carly questioned Brando about why he was in town and told him the truth about Dev. Sonny realized that Renault’s work was messy during their attack which makes them vulnerable. Spinelli informed Maxie that Ellie got the job so they would be moving back to Port Charles, which didn’t please Peter too much after Spinelli began questioning him. Robert and Anna argued about Peter and after overhearing them, Peter made a call to stop his deal with Jason and Sam. Trina tried to get Joss to see that she was ready to start dating again. Brook Lynn went to see Mike and talked with Sonny about his condition. Franco confronted Nikolas about hurting Liz and Hayden. Lulu warns Valentin not to pull any stunts when he runs into them at the pub. Ava hires Franco to paint a portrait of her for the Cassadine mantle. Sasha has plans on expanding Deception without Lucy’s approval.

The DNA test proved that Valentin was, in fact, NOT a Cassadine. Emma spent some time with Peter before Robert warned him that Jason would be coming after him now without any police supervision. Maxie talked with Jax about his feelings for Nina while Ava talked Nina through her hesitation. Valentin sent Martin out of town to try and win over some of the other ELQ stockholders. Finn and Anna argued after she found out he was the one who leaked the information about Peter to Jason and Sam. When it was clear that she was choosing Peter, he took Violet and left the house. Epiphany covered for Sam when she was almost busted with Jason at the hospital, but warned them that she won’t always be around to help. Valentin overheard Nina say that she kissed Jax. Brad got a job opportunity for him and Lucas in Portland, and Lucas agreed that they should go. Nelle was not happy about the idea and set forth her own plan to sell her ELQ stock to Valentin to get money to leave town. Willow and Michael were both sad about Wiley leaving town. Jax met with Dustin to thank him for saving Joss and wants him to look after her for him. Nina and Jax finally gave in to their feelings and made love.

Our Performers of the Week are Bold’s Courtney Hope (Sally) and Heather Tom (Katie)!

Courtney and Heather added to their Emmy reels this week as Sally found out that she only has a month to live. The way that Courtney portrayed Sally’s devastation and denial mixed with Heather’s emotional pleas from Katie made for a powerful set of scenes. As the storyline continues, we know that these two incredible actresses are going to slay us all!

Our Honorable Mentions are:

Days of Our Lives’ Mary Beth Evans (Kayla)

I may be just a tad biased, but Mary Beth Evans is one of the greatest actresses in daytime television! Her ability to make you feel exactly what Kayla is feeling is a gift. And this week, when she found herself in the familiar situation of helping “Steve” after he was wounded, had her reeling. She had to lie to the man who loves her and then deal with Stefano’s rudeness as he paraded as Steve. She took the opportunity to lay into him about his behavior and treatment of his loved ones. And even Stefano was a bit shaken by her words. We cannot wait to see what happens after she learns the truth about his identity this week!

General Hospital’s Finola Hughes (Anna) and Michael Easton (Finn)

Finola and Michael showed out this week as Anna and Peter battled over Peter! Finola’s raw emotion as Anna, while she did everything to protect the child that was left behind, was incredible. And equally matching her power was Finn’s need to protect her and his daughter from the danger that Peter brought with him. Hughes and Easton are certainly a powerful onscreen duo!
