Congratulations to Power’s leading duo; Naturi Naughton (Tasha) and Omari Hardwick (Ghost) who’s been nominated for the upcoming NAACP Image Awards. Both stars have done superb work throughout the series’ run on Starz hence the reason for their nomination. The event will be broadcast live on January 15, 2018, on TV One.
The NAACP Image Awards recognizes the accomplishments of people of color in the television, music, literature and film fields. While “Queen Sugar” and “Insecure” may have gained the most nominations, we’re happy to report that “Power” was nominated for Oustanding Drama Series, While Hardwick was nominated for Oustanding Actor in a Drama Series, Naughton for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and Michael Reainey Jr. their onscreen son for Outstanding Performance by a Youth.
