It’s been over a year since fans last saw Real Andrews as Marcus Taggert on General Hospital, a role he has played on and off since 1996. In light of questions he has received about his status with the show, Andrews took to social media to reveal the truth behind his GH journey.
In a recent video on his Instagram account, Andrews announced, “I got news for you. I got answers for you, and it’s probably not the answers that you want to hear, but it’s all great.” He proceeded to share, “My chapter with General Hospital is over; the writing has been on the wall for a long time, but God clearly showed me that, and it’s been an amazing journey. I wanted to come on here because you guys have been phenomenal, the best amazing supporters. I don’t call you F.A.N.S.; I call you champions.”
Andrews made it clear that his General Hospital journey was made possible due to some vets in the business. “I do want to give a shout out to Mark Teschner. I mean, that was the guy who gave me my first opportunity, Bob Guza, Wendy Riche, Frank [Valentini], and all the champions there.”
While Andrews stated, “Never say never,” regarding his General Hospital chapter, he also disclosed exciting news: “I got offered what is the biggest role in my life. It’s on the biggest and best network, the best directors, producers, and writers, in my opinion, in the industry. We’re in pre-production for it.” However, due to an NDA, Andrews mentioned, “I’m not able to talk about it right now, but it’s huge.” You can watch the full video clip with Real Andrews here!
