Today, General Hospital fan favorite Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) is celebrating a very special day—it’s her 47th birthday. Herbst has spent the last 20+ years playing the role of Liz Webber on ‘GH’.
Herbst was born in Encino, California. She grew up with her parents, Debbie and Wayne, and has an older sister, Jennifer. She is not related to General Hospital co-star Rick Hearst (who portrayed Ric Lansing, Elizabeth Webber’s ex-husband), whose surname was Herbst before he changed it professionally.
Rebecca Herbst was a competitive figure skater as a child, and at age sixteen, she decided to concentrate on acting. This career switch ultimately led her to memorable roles in one of the industry’s most enduring soap operas. Her portrayal of Elizabeth Webber has been beloved by fans for years, cementing her status as one of the show’s iconic characters.
